Author and relief worker, Alison Thompson believes in turning activism into activity to create sustainable volunteerism, a concrete and tangible solution to healing a war-torn world in need of hope and reconciliation. Alison personifies Urban Zen’s mission to connect the dots and our philosophy of connect, collaborate and create change. Committed to empowering the everyday person as a hero for the globalized age, she has written an extraordinary book, The Third Wave, in order to depict how charitable action has evolved from lofty concept to a way of life. We are proud to honor Alison Thompson as this month’s Community Ambassador.
As our community ambassador, we envision Alison Thompson rallying our community with her stirring call to action and engaging us with her unique brand of inspirational activism. All sales raised from this event will benefit We Advance’s schools for Haitian refugees.
