Marilu Henner BrainWave Twitter Party with Marilu Henner

DATE: Thursday, April 26, 2012
TIME: 5PM-6PM EST
LOCATION: Twitter

What is your most potent memory?

Join us for a live Twitter conversation with Marilu Henner, keynote speaker in the Rubin Museum’s BrainWave Series. We will be live tweeting about the magic of memory, a concept that Marilu is exceedingly familiar with as she is someone with Superior Autobiographical Memory – an uncanny ability to recall details of every day of her life – a talent known to be shared by only six other people in the world.

Our conversation is also a celebration of Marilu’s latest book, Total Memory Makeover: Uncover Your Past, Take Charge of Your Future, which depicts her personal insights and experiences as to how having a reliable memory has helped her in countless scenarios. She also gives readers advice in making memory work for them, from having the right attitude about life and developing a healthy mindset about the past, to building a personal history “track” and using it to actually change your life.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to leverage the Twittersphere while you ponder the following questions:

1. Does an infallible memory help you make better decisions?
2. What types of memories are most valuable to you?
3. What does it feels like to recall an old memory.

Urban Zen is delighted to have Christiane Northrup, M.D, as our ambassador for the month of March. In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we couldn’t think of anyone more fitting than Dr. Northrup to collaborate with as we come together and center our thoughts and energies around the collective community of women. Dr. Northrup is a visionary pioneer and the world’s leading authority in the field of women’s health and wellness. A board-certified OB/GYN physician who graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and did her residency at Tufts New England Medical Center, Dr. Northrup was also an assistant clinical professor of OB/GYN at Maine Medical Center for 20 years. Recognizing the unity of body, mind, and spirit, Dr. Northrup helps empower women to tune into their innate inner wisdom to transform their health and truly flourish.

Dr. Northrup is the author of two New York Times best-selling books, Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom and The Wisdom of Menopause. In 2005, Mother-Daughter Wisdom, her third book, was voted Amazon’s #1 book of the year in both parenting and mind-body health and was nominated for a Quill Award. In her latest books, The Secret Pleasures of Menopause and The Secret Pleasures of Menopause Playbook, Dr. Northrup outlines the crucial link between health and pleasure. Her books, which have been translated into 20 languages, have taught women worldwide how to create joyous and vibrant health throughout their lives.

Dr. Northrup has also hosted seven highly successfully public television specials. Her latest special is based upon the newly revised edition of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom and began airing nationwide in June 2010.

Dr. Northrup now devotes her time to inspiring women worldwide to truly flourish on all levels through tapping into their inner wisdom. She does this through speaking engagements, on her weekly Hay House Internet radio show Flourish!, in television appearances and specials, on Facebook, and in her e-newsletter.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the groundbreaking work of Dr. Northrup this month. And, don’t forget to join us for our live Twitter conversation discussing the wisdom of women’s bodies on March 22!
