retail pres april 8 3 Philanthropy and Commerce in ActionThe Urban Zen Foundation would like to take a moment and send out a big thank you to one of our biggest supporters: Urban Zen Retail. On Friday, April 8th, Donna Karan held a private event at the Stephan Weiss Studio to showcase three new collections – the Urban Zen Home Collection, the Elements Collection and the new Urban Zen Jewelry. It was a symbolic event that spoke to the importance of inventive giving.

Not only does Urban Zen Retail evoke the senses and calm the spirit, it also serves as a brilliant example of philanthropy and commerce co-existing harmoniously. From its inception Urban Zen Retail has contributed 10 percent of net sales to benefit the Urban Zen Foundation and our three initiatives. This contribution has significantly empowered our ability to be an effective foundation focused on creating change and amplifying powerful avenues for positively impacting children, cultures and well-being.

So, thank you Urban Zen Retail. We are endlessly grateful for your support and we applaud the powerful statement you are making on the intersection of philanthropy and commerce.
