Wisdom 2.0: Living Consciously and Wisely in an Increasingly Connected World
Friday, 19 November 2010

Join us for a day of practice and discussions on Living with Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life.

Although this technological age offers many benefits, for many people life has become increasingly chaotic, hurried, and stressful … overwhelmed with a continual stream of emails, text messages, and cell phone calls, awareness of the body goes “off-line” and the present moment is lost. We live “disconnectedly connected,” where we are connected to technology, but largely cut off from that place of balance and well being that resides within each one of us.

The first part of the day, Wisdom 2.0 founder Soren Gordhamer and Jennifer Peck will guide guests using meditation, conscious movement, and small group discussion, to explore inviting deeper presence and well-being into our daily lives. The great opportunity of our age is that never before has living with mindfulness and presence been as challenging — or as important. These times ask us to bring a new type of attentiveness to our lives — one that is attuned and engaged, and that harnesses the wisdom of the body.

The later part of the day, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, will be a series of discussions with those from the media and wisdom traditions hosted by Soren Gordhamer and Alana Kornfeld of Huffington Post on how this age of technology can help to share and enhance wisdom.

Join us for this unique day integrating wisdom, presence, and technology.
